Brighten Up is committed to respecting and protecting your privacy.

Any references to “we”, “us” , ''I'' and “Brighten Up” are to Brighten Up UK, a sole trader business registered in the UK, with HMRC.
This privacy policy may change occasionally, following legislative requirements. Any changes will be posted on this page and the date listed on the subtitle at the top of the page will reflect this.
The following data may be collected from you:
Information you have provided by filling in forms on www.mybrightenup.com (“the Website”). This includes, but is not limited to: registration, purchasing, bespoke requests, complaints and mailing list subscriptions. You may be asked for further information when you report a problem with the Website.
If you purchase from Brighten Up, your details may be retained if necessary, such as; your delivery addresses, password and any information associated with your account. Brighten Up may also keep a record of your product selections and previous orders, and any correspondence.
Details of your visits to the Website including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, web logs and other communication data, and details of the resources that you access may be kept on record.
Information from customers under the age of 13 is not purposefully collected. In the event that I become aware that I have collected personal information from anyone under the age of 13 I will delete it immediately.
When you make a purchase from Brighten Up for delivery at a later date necessary information will be collected about you to ensure your order can be fulfilled. This data is processed on the basis of “Legitimate Interest” as I need this data to fulfil your order. Details of your order may be passed to a third party company to assist us with the prevention and detection of fraudulent orders which may result in us requesting additional information from you. Where orders are fulfilled by a third party courier I will need to share your contact information with them for the purpose of delivering your order. Where our couriers support giving you additional tracking information via email or sms text message I will give them this information for this purpose.
Where you have added items to your basket and started entering your information I may send you an email to let you know that the checkout has not been completed. The lawful basis for this email is “Legitimate Interest” as you have expressed an interest in purchasing these items. You may unsubscribe from these emails using the link at the bottom of the email.
I may from time to time offer surveys, contests, competitions or other promotions on our website or through social media (collectively “competitions”). Participation is voluntary. Information requested for entry will be used to administer the competitions. I will only use the information you submit to the competition to send you marketing communications if you explicitly consent to this.
I will never share or sell your data to third parties for marketing purposes.
